How To Make Homemade Breadcrumbs

Ingredients
  

  • Stale bread
  • Herbs or Flavorings

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your Oven: Preheat to 325 degrees F
  • Prep the Bread: Tear or slice the bread into small pieces.
  • Dry the Bread: Spread the bread pieces on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes, give it a toss and then bake for another 5 - 10 mins. Your bread should be hard and crispy to the touch. The cooking time is going to depend on environmental factors as well as how fresh your bread was to start.
  • Pulse into Crumbs: Once the bread is dry, transfer it to a food processor or blender. Pulse until you reach your desired crumb size.
  • Season: If you are flavoring your bread crumbs, add your seasonings during the pulsing/blending process.
