High Speed Blender
Silicone Ice cube mold
- ½ cup fresh turmeric
- ½ cup fresh ginger
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp black pepper
- ½ cup cold water
Roughly chop your ginger and turmeric (no need to peel) and add into a high speed blender along with the lemon juice, black pepper, and water.
Blend until completely liquified. If you need to add in more water, try adding in ¼ cup at a time.
Once blended, strain using a sieve or cheesecloth. Be sure to squeeze out as much liquid as possible. Compost or discard the pulp.
Pour your liquid into your silicone molds and freeze for at least 2 hours. Once solid you can transfer to an airtight container to be kept in the fridge.
To serve: When I am ready for tea, I fill a mug with hot water and pop in one or two cubes along with some honey and lemon and enjoy. You can also pop one into a shot glass and fill with water to disolve, once melted you can shoot it back. I like to drink this tea or take it as a shot 3 - 5 times a week to recieve the steady anti-inflamatory effects.
