- 1 6 oz can tomato paste
- 2 cups water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ large onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½ tbsp sugar crucial ingredient to balance out the acidity
- ¾ tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Sauté the Aromatics: Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion, and cook until softened and fragrant.
